About us

The Exchange is a innovative new creative hub combining an 50 seat studio theatre, record store and bar.

Our seasons run throughout the year offering the best in nurturing and creating new theatre, comedy and visual arts alongside our exciting engagement programmes.

The Ventnor Exchange aims to foster and develop a unique creative community and economy on the Isle of Wight.

An independent producing organisation we work with creative’s across many disciplines; developing new work, events and products.

In 2014 we opened our home at 11 Church Street, Ventnor in the town's former Post Office. Now housing a studio theatre, record store and bar it's the best place on the Island to catch new work, as well as the perfect place to browse vinyl, meet friends and relax with like minded people.

Every August we are also responsible for the annual Ventnor Fringe Festival, the Isle of Wight's unique take on the famous Edinburgh Fringe.

Our projects

THE VENTNOR FRINGE IS A UNIQUE CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS, SHOWCASING EMERGING AND ESTABLISHED TALENT ACROSS EVERY CREATIVE DISCIPLINE.

Originally created by a team of local students in 2010 the festival follows the core principles of the famous Edinburgh Fringe that inspired it, in which any artist can take part. Since then, the Ventnor Fringe has gradually grown into one of the Island’s most exciting new festivals, attracting more than 300 performers in 2013 from all over the world.

Best event to be immersed in culture 2012, 2013 & 2014
